Como president Mirvan Suvarnaso has reveal that former defender Raphael Varane is still working at the club but has changed his role to an investor.

    The Frenchman left Manchester United last summer and opted to join Cesc Fabregas’ Como, but suffered an injury on his debut against Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia and eventually retired.

    Despite no longer being involve as a player, Suvarna reveal that Varane is still heavily involve behind the scenes as a shareholder in the club, having invested before he joined, helping build the club’s infrastructure in areas related to the academy, education คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย programme and summer school.

    “I think he’s smarter than me,” Suvarna joked of Varane, while also revealing that Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is also a shareholder in the club.

 “Thierry is very useful in terms of branding, whether he’s in the US or London. He’s undoubtedly raising our profile.”

    “Varane is here every month. He works with the Education Board, the academy and also with our digital division. He is very intelligent. I think he is smarter than me,” he said.

    “He was an investor before he joined us. He had investments in sports technology, so now that we’re working together, we have to align our interests and resources. He’s been very involved with the academy, building the school and the summer camp, and he brings a lot of experience and vision.”
